Some of the most remarkable things at the Greater Jacksonville Agricultural Fair are made by your neighbors.
Walk through Hall B inside Duval Hall and into over 20,000 square feet of creativity, craftsmanship and community pride on full display. Our Contests and Competitions showcase is home to some of the most impressive and surprisingly moving work you will find anywhere at the Fair. From stunning works of Fine Art, Photography, Mixed Media and Horticultural arrangements, Woodworking, Woodturning, Culinary creations and much more. Every entry in Hall B represents someone who poured genuine skill, patience and passion into something worth celebrating.
This is one of the most meaningful spaces at the Fair -not just for the 11-days we open our Gates, but as a reflection of our purpose and the mission we carry year-round. Providing opportunities for children and adults alike to compete, create, learn and be recognized is at the very heart of what this Fair has stood for across more than seven decades.
ART Competitions & Exhibitions
Sponsored by Tulsa Welding School Jacksonville. At the 2026 Metal Art Competition -whether it’s welded, glued, cut, or soldered – if the primary medium is metal it qualifies.

The 2026 Mixed Media Competition & Exhibition presented by Fader & Co. invites artists of all ages to interpret Underwater Worlds entirely on their own terms with the only rule being that at least two materials must collide to bring your vision to life. Paint meets wire. Resin meets reclaimed wood. Photography meets sculpture. The combination is yours -the depth is unlimited.
Now in its 20th year, the Woodturners’ Contest & Exhibition is one of the most quietly spectacular showcases inside of the Duval Hall Expo where pieces that defy easy categorization are displayed with craftsmanship that stops you mid-stride. Competitors bring their finest work with Best of Show and People’s Choice honors up for grabs.
AGRICULTURE
Agriculture is growing in a big way inside the DUVAL HALL EXPO! At the 71st Annual Greater Jacksonville Agricultural Fair, UF/IFAS Extension Duval County will transform its exhibit in DUVAL HALL B into a fun, educational destination where Fairgoers can dig into the science, skills and local knowledge behind the food we eat, the animals we raise and the land we depend on.
A partnership between the University of Florida’s Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences and the U.S. Department of Agriculture, UF/IFAS Extension Duval County provides Jacksonville with practical, research-based education. Its agricultural resources support Duval County’s small farms, livestock producers and alternative agricultural enterprises, covering everything from cattle, horses, goats, sheep and poultry to pastures, forage, hay, fruit and vegetable farms and farmers markets.
Whether you have a backyard garden, dream of starting a small farm, want to learn more about livestock or are simply curious about how agriculture works here in Northeast Florida, this is the place to ask questions and grow your knowledge. Stop by, meet the experts and discover why agriculture isn’t only part of the Fair –it’s at the very root of it.
ARTS & CRAFTS: CONTESTS & FUN!
If you’ve ever stood in front of a handmade piece of anything and thought “How did someone do that?” – this section of The Fair is for you.
The Arts & Crafts section inside the Duval Hall Expo B features Competitions and Exhibitions, but the primary goal is a three letter word: F-U-N. It is where talent gets a room, a spotlight and the audience it deserves.
From the delicate precision of Needle Crafts to the raw, deliberate power of Wood Carving & Wood Working. From Food Preservation that would make your Grandmother competitive to gallery-level Ceramics. Fine Art & Photography that stops you in your tracks alongside the always fun Holiday Crafts, General Crafts and Weaving/Textiles +Fibers that remind you what patience actually looks like, and that prove creativity has no single definition.
Eight categories. Hundreds of entries. Zero moments of boredom. This is where The Makers of Jacksonville bring their very best work and lay it all out for everyone to see.
THE JACKSONVILLE BEEKEEPERS!
There’s plenty of buzz building inside the DUVAL EXPO! The Jacksonville Beekeepers Association will have its own sweet spot inside DUVAL HALL B during the 71st Annual Greater Jacksonville Agricultural Fair, where Fairgoers can explore the fascinating—and incredibly important—world of bees. Founded in 2010, the organization brings new and experienced beekeepers together while serving as an educational resource for the community through workshops, mentoring, monthly meetings and hands-on learning at its club apiary.
Their corner of the DUVAL EXPO will also be home to the Honey Show, sponsored by the Jacksonville Beekeepers Association. Open to Duval County residents and association members, the competition includes light, amber, dark and novice extracted honey, along with black jar honey, creamed honey, bee-related photography and artistry, candles and even beekeeping gadgets. Ribbons will be awarded throughout the show, with one outstanding entry earning the title of Best of Show—now that’s something worth buzzing about!
Whether you’re curious about starting a hive, searching for local honey, wondering how bees are safely removed and relocated or looking for simple ways to make your own yard more pollinator-friendly, the Jacksonville Beekeepers Association has a hive full of helpful information. CULINARY COMPETITIONS
The oven mitts are off and things are getting deliciously competitive inside the DUVAL EXPO! The Culinary competitions at the 71st Annual Greater Jacksonville Agricultural Fair invite Jacksonville’s amateur bakers to bring their best and leave the boxed mixes at home. The lineup includes the Bake Your Very Best Pie Contest, the King Arthur Baking Company Adult Cookie Contest, the King Arthur Baking Company Youth Cookie Contest and the Bake Your Best Cake Contest. From flaky dessert pies and creative cookies to scratch-made cakes celebrating America’s 250th anniversary, entries will be judged on taste, texture, presentation and creativity, with ribbons, cash prizes, King Arthur gift cards and some very sweet bragging rights up for grabs.
And because no celebration of all things sweet would be complete without the bees, the Honey Show, sponsored by the Jacksonville Beekeeper’s Association, is joining the fun. Local beekeepers can compete with light, amber, dark, novice, black jar and creamed honey—or show another side of their talents through bee-related photography, artistry, candles and gadgets. It’s equal parts craftsmanship, creativity and liquid gold, with ribbons awarded in each category and a Best of Show prize waiting for the entry that truly earns its buzz.

HORTICULTURE EXHIBITION & COMPETITIONS
Step into a living showcase of Northeast Florida’s growing talent at the 2026 JAXFAIR Horticulture Exhibition & Competition, presented by Liberty Landscape Supply and located inside the Duval Hall Expo. From lush ferns, colorful orchids and African violets to bonsai, succulents, patio plants, herbs, vegetables and creative container gardens, the exhibition will be filled with beautiful, unusual and expertly grown entries from local gardeners of all ages.
Whether you have a seasoned green thumb or simply appreciate something beautiful in bloom, this is the perfect place to slow down, explore and gather a little inspiration for your own home or garden. Fairgoers can admire the award-winning displays, discover the remarkable variety of plants grown throughout our region and cast a vote for the coveted People’s Choice Award. The exhibition will be on display throughout the Fair, November 5–15, 2026.
