When Lamont Landers steps up to the microphone, he doesn’t just perform — he commands the room.
Born and raised in Decatur, Alabama — music surrounded Lamont from the beginning. Riding in the backseat of his dad’s Chevrolet S-10 Blazer, he absorbed the sounds of the Allman Brothers Band, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Stevie Ray Vaughan. At home, his mother filled the house with the voices of Al Green, Sly & The Family Stone, Ray Charles, and Marvin Gaye, planting the seeds for the soulful foundation that would later define his sound.
The moment that changed everything came when Questlove shared Lamont’s cover of The Spinners’ “Rubberband Man.” The performance eventually found its way to GRAMMY® Award-winning producer Dave Cobb, known for his work with Chris Stapleton, Brandi Carlile, Jason Isbell, and Sturgill Simpson.
He invited Landers to record at his Savannah, Georgia studio — a creative partnership that ultimately led to Lamont signing with Cobb’s Lucille Records, in partnership with MCA Nashville.
The result is a collection of songs that capture every side of Lamont Landers: the soul singer, the guitar player, the storyteller, and the man behind the microphone.
Following the release of his 2025 introductory EP — featuring fan favorites “America,” and “Lotta Love,” — Lamont enters a defining new chapter in 2026.
On July 31, 2026, he released “Lonely Girl,” the first official single from his forthcoming debut album on Lucille/MCA Nashville, arriving in early 2027.
“When you hear this record, I hope you think, ‘This isn’t just good — this is great,’” he says. “That’s what I was aiming for — something real, raw, and unforgettable.”
And after years of letting the music speak for itself, Lamont Landers is ready for the world to listen.
