Jackie Turner is the new Livestock Coordinator for the Greater Jacksonville Agricultural Fair, beginning in June 2019. Jackie works closely with our livestock and many different fairs to coordinate the best spread of animals at the Jacksonville Fair, we were able to have a little chat with Jackie about work, activities and her favorite part about the Fair.

What college did you attend?
I graduated from the University of Central Florida
What was your major at the University of Central Florida?
I graduated with a degree in communications.
Prior to joining the Jacksonville Fair, where did you work?
I worked as a veterinary technician for five years.
So far, what is your favorite part about being a Jacksonville Fair team member?
My favorite part about this job would have to be the people I’m able to work with on a day to day basis and how collaborative this industry is.
What peaked your interest about the job opening at the Jacksonville Fair?
I was ready for a change and this opportunity presented itself and I felt it was the perfect way for me to learn and grow in my career.
Do you have any pets?
Yes I have two dogs and three cats.
What are your animals’ names?
My dogs names are Rusty and Shannon and my cats are Ferris, Stella and Milo
