Letters of Welcome

Dear Friends:

On behalf of the people of the City of Jacksonville, it is my pleasure to welcome you to the 53rd Annual Greater Jacksonville Agricultural Fair.  We are honored to host this rich annual tradition that celebrates the best Jacksonville has to offer.

For more than half a decade, the Greater Jacksonville Agricultural Fair – the largest in Northeast Florida – has brought together young and old to experience our city’s heritage, culture and agricultural history.  The fair’s livestock exhibits, exciting rides, carnival games and stirring live performances provide for a fun-filled day of family entertainment.

I’m confident that this year’s fair will be one of the best yet, and I’m glad you came out for the festivities.  Please enjoy your time at the fair!

Warm regards,

John Peyton

Dear Friends:

Fairs are a celebration of our heritage.  With over 50 fairs and exhibitions in Florida, visitors have an opportunity to experience some of the finest examples of Florida agriculture through locally grown produce, poultry and livestock.

I am especially proud of our youth who utilize the opportunities provided by the fair as they participate in various agricultural events and programs.  Please take a moment while visiting the fair this year to appreciate the support and efforts of youth group programs such as the FFA and 4-H.

As Florida's Commissioner of Agriculture, I have a profound appreciation for the positive impact that fairs and livestock shows have on the agriculture industry.  Join me in honoring the many volunteers, staff members, employees and exhibitors that make Florida fairs and exhibitions a  success year after year.  It is my pleasure to welcome you to the Greater Jacksonville Agricultural Fair.

Sincerely,

CHARLES H. BRONSON
